“Projeto Amo Viver” will have an open rhythm class in honor of Mother’s Day

This Saturday (11), the Children’s Park will host an open rhythm class from the “Amo Viver” project, with the purpose of celebrating Mother’s Day, which this year is celebrated on the 12th. Led by professor Flávio Eduardo Luiz, Edu , the activity is carried out through a partnership between the City Hall, through the Afro Reference Center “Mestre Jorge”, Casa SP Afro Brasil “Oswaldo da Silva Bogé”, Coordination of Ethnic-Racial Policies and Coordination of Policies for Women, with Carol Soares, from the Health and Wellbeing Center.

Alessandra Laurindo, coordinator of Ethnic-Racial Policies, spoke about the purpose of the action. “The objective is to do a special rhythm class for Mother’s Day, but involving the whole family. Who is a mother and who is a daughter. Professor Edu brought with great care the proposal to symbolize the date in a different way, where everyone can come together through dance and also learn about the project that is carried out at Casa SP Afro and the Afro Reference Center. All people are welcome, just bring joy”, he invited.

The “Amo Viver” project consists of holding pilates, rhythms, cardio dance classes, open to the general public, free of charge, promoting democratic classes with broad popular participation that encourage the practice of physical activity and dance, contributing to the dissemination cultural and regional development.

Currently, all classes are full and have waiting lists. The Afro Reference Center “Mestre Jorge” is at Avenida Mauá, 377, in the Center, and the Casa SP Afro Brasil “Oswaldo da Silva Bogé”, is at Avenida Paulo da Silveira Ferraz, 1195, Vila Xavier.
