A mother and her one-year-old daughter died in an accident on BR-101 on Tuesday afternoon (7) in Atílio Vivácqua, in the southern region of Espírito Santo. The father was also in the car and was rescued in serious condition. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), all three members of the vehicle were not wearing seat belts.
The PRF reported that Aline Manzoli Fonseca, 32 years old, Aylla and her husband, Arildo Rangel, were thrown out of the car.
According to the PRF, the vehicle hit a trailer, and its side and front were completely destroyed. The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m.
According to witnesses, the couple was heading towards Rio de Janeiro. Aline leaves two other children. The husband remains hospitalized in the Emergency Room of Santa Casa de Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, in the same region.
The track was completely closed and was only reopened hours later, in the early evening. The trailer involved in the accident was intended for transporting dangerous materials, but it was empty.
The bodies of the mother and daughter were taken to the Legal Medical Service of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim. The wake will be held this Wednesday afternoon (8) in a private cemetery in the IBC neighborhood.
