The Paraná Civil Police (PCPR) arrested a 52-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman in the early afternoon of this Thursday (09) in the Presidente Kenndy neighborhood in Francisco Beltrão. The couple had preventive arrest warrants issued by the Jury Court of the District of Joinville-SC, for the crime of qualified homicide.
After exchanging information from the intelligence sectors of the Santa Catarina Civil Police (PCSC), through the Joinville Homicide Police Station and the PCPR, it was discovered that the couple was on the run in Francisco Beltrão-PR. Police officers from the 19th SDP managed to monitor and locate the couple, who were captured in the early afternoon of Thursday (09) in the Presidente Kennedy neighborhood in Beltrão.
According to information, the crime was the first homicide to occur in the city of Joinville/SC in January 2024. The suspected couple allegedly killed their own tenant to avoid paying loans of just over twenty thousand reais that they took from the victim.
In addition to executing the arrest warrants, a search was also carried out at the couple’s residence in Francisco Beltrão and a 40-caliber shotgun and almost fifty 38-caliber ammunition were also seized. Other elements that should support the PCSC investigation were also seized.
Now, according to the Chief Delegate of the 19th. SDP, Ricardo Moraes, in addition to the homicide, must also answer for the crime of illegal possession of a firearm.
