NIn an interview with Sky News, the US ambassador in London states that “those who think that after this Russia will stop are mistaken”.
Recalling that before arriving in the United Kingdom, she was ambassador to France and Moscow and saw what happened in Crimea, Jane Hartley states that she does not understand “why anyone would say that ‘this is the end for Russia'”.
Having said this, it reinforces that it is increasingly important to support Ukraine.
“I think that democracy is at stake. Therefore, we have to support Ukraine”, he stressed, ensuring that they will do everything to ensure that “Ukraine remains a strong democracy and that Russia loses this war”.
Jane Hartley was also pleased to be able to say that the USA should soon release another aid package for the country led by Volodymyr Zelensky.
