The Israeli Army announced this Monday the “end” of operations in the Al-Shifa hospital area in Gaza, shortly after Hamas accused Israel of having caused dozens of deaths there.

Before Israel’s first statement about the military operation at the hospital in the enclave, the Ministry of Health of the Gaza Strip, controlled by Hamas, stated that the Israeli Army had removed the tanks from the Al-Shifa complex leaving destruction and “dozens of bodies.”

The hospital, in northern Gaza, is the largest healthcare facility in the besieged Palestinian territory.

Israel has not yet communicated further details about the “end” of this Army operation.

Meanwhile, Israeli police announced that they had detained the sister of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Sabah Abdel Salam Haniyeh, in southern Israel, as part of a “terrorism” investigation carried out by police forces and Shin Bet (internal security). .

“She is suspected of having contacts with Hamas operatives and identifying with the organization, inciting and supporting acts of terrorism in Israel,” a police spokesperson told Agence France Presse.
