I repeat, do not use fabric softener. This damages the fibers of the towels and that is what makes them more fragile”, explains the expert.
And what should we use? White vinegar, guarantees the specialist, corroborating several articles that provide the same information. Vinegar is even much cheaper than fabric softener and the results are much better.
- Use an essential oil
Are you afraid that, by not using fabric softener, your towels won’t have that fresh smell that we love so much? Try adding a few drops of essential oil to the detergent compartment along with the vinegar. “If you have lavender essential oil, put it in the detergent compartment and this will prevent that musty smell from appearing if you can’t dry the clothes right away.” Research the safety of essential oils for people and pets in advance.
