According to ‘National Geographic’, the An event known as “animal rain” occurs when waterspouts suck fish or other animals from rivers or lakes, drag them into the clouds and fall as precipitation.

Scientists claim that fish rain occurs due to tornadoes. When a tornado crosses the sea or ocean, it grabs fish, frogs, turtles or crabs with the force of the wind.

The animals move along with the tornado and remain in the sky until the wind speed decreases. When there is a gradual slowdown, the creatures fall to the ground along with the rainwater. In this case, creating a “rain of fish”.
