Banksy’s artwork, painted in green paint, shows a woman holding a hose next to a large cherry tree.
After several images were released on social media showing the mural in Finsbury Park, Banksy claimed, through a post on Instagram, that the work was his own.
On Tuesday, it was possible to observe, according to international agencies, white paint spread across the artist’s latest street art. A visitor, coming from Germany, said he had found a positive side to the act of vandalism.
“All of Banksy’s art is temporary,” he said, “it will fall apart whether it’s a day or three later, or even three years. Banksy, who never revealed his identity, began his career painting buildings in the city of Bristol, England, becoming one of the best-known artists in the world.
Some of his most popular artworks include two police officers kissing, armed police officers smiling, and a chimp with a sign that reads: “Laugh now, but one day I’ll be in charge.”
