The launch will take place tomorrow at the Lisbon Metropolitan Auditorium, at 9:45 am, and will be attended by the Secretary of State for Urban Mobility, Jorge Delgado.

The Lisbon Metropolitano will launch, on Friday, the international public tender for the construction of the new metro line in Lisbon, Violeta line. This line will connect Loures and Odivelas, via a light surface metro.

The construction of the new metro line was approved by the Council of Ministers in November, and will involve an investment of 527.3 million euros, of which 390 million euros will come from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), in the modality loan and 137.3 million euros come from the State budget.

The line will have 17 stations, nine of them in the municipality of Loures and eight in the municipality of Odivelas.

The launch will take place tomorrow at the Auditorium of the Metropolitano de Lisboa, at 9:45 am, and will be attended by the Secretary of State for Urban Mobility, Jorge Delgado, the president of the Loures City Council, Ricardo Leão, the president of the Odivelas City Council , Hugo Martins, and the president of the Board of Directors of Metropolitano de Lisboa, Vítor Domingues dos Santos.
