Barcelos company opens 8 million factory in Alto Minho (and creates 60 jobs)

The Mecwide Group, based in Vila Seca, in the municipality of Barcelos, will inaugurate in April, in Vila Nova de Cerveira, a factory producing components for data centers which will employ 60 people, was announced today.

From what O MINHO found, the investment forecast is eight million euros and is the result of a strategic partnership with Victaulic and CTS Nordics, which assumes the name DC Piping.

In a statement, the Barcelos group, which last year had revenues of 100 million euros, highlights that “the objective is to accelerate the expansion of business activity in the Nordic countries”.

Thus, “DC Piping will provide components and services necessary for the development of the business in the Nordic region, providing greater speed and efficiency in bringing critical customer projects online”, explains the statement.

And he adds: “The partnership between Mecwide, Victaulic and CTS Nordics will shorten the delivery of data centers and ensure specialized maintenance throughout the life of the project, allowing customers to leverage all of their operational capabilities.”

The DC Piping production unit in Vila Nova de Cerveira occupies an area of ​​7,000m^two and will have around 60 workers highly specialized in prefabrication of piping.
