Conor McGregor appears to have reached another historic milestone in his career. But this time, the feat has nothing to do with his achievements in combat sports, but rather with his newest endeavor: dramaturgy. Chosen to star in the new version of the classic 80s film ”Road House”, which in Brazil gained the name ‘Matador de Aluguel’, the former featherweight (66 kg) and lightweight (70 kg) champion UFC star claims to have become the highest-paid debut actor of all time.

In a recent interview with the program ‘Good Morning Britain’, ‘Notorious’ confirmed the information, but without revealing values. If he actually achieved such a feat, McGregor surpassed Dwayne Johnson, better known as ‘The Rock’, who, in 2001, debuted in the film ‘The Mummy Returns’ pocketing 5.5 million dollars (about R$27 million), a world record recognized by Guinness, according to the ‘Daily Mail’ website. On his social networks, Conor even mentioned the actor and telecatch star by name and assured that he surpassed his mark, but later deleted the publication.

“I’ve never done a movie before, so I’m similar to a white belt, a beginner. It took me back (to the past), because I thought, ‘What if I’m not that good here?’. But sometimes you have to pretend until I get it. That’s the fact, the highest-paid debut actor of all time, so that’s a nice advantage. There’s not a Hollywood action star that can take me on, and that’s a fact. So we’ll see where that goes “, highlighted Conor, who will see his film premiere on the ‘Amazon Prime’ platform on March 21st.
