From Thiago Fragoso to Fernanda Paes Leme, some celebrities woke up with a more than special coffee at home. It was a gift from Fernanda Rodrigues. It’s no commemorative date, but the 44-year-old actress has invested alongside her husband, Raoni Carneiro, and two other partners, in the production of her own coffee.

The endeavor began approximately four years ago, when the artist and two other friendly families found an abandoned property in Avelar, Paty do Alferes district, in Vale do Café, Rio de Janeiro. They decided to buy the land and began renovations to transform the area into productive land again.

“The desire to undertake something that tingled in the hearts of these people was ancient. And in the midst of the greenery, the breeze, the last rays of sunlight on that cold day, the seed of the dream found fertile ground and germinated. The farm had already been the dream of someone. The energy of the past dream still hovered in the air with a loving, protective vibration. But it was dormant, silent, as if waiting for a new dreamer to rediscover its beauty and activate once again all the power that vibrated in the roots that ran through the furrows of the earth “, says the official text of Fazenda Nosso Vilarejo, the name they gave it.

There are 180 hectares of farm, but they say the focus is on cultivation on 40 hectares. It was the way they found to produce sustainable production, following the concepts of recovering degraded areas by planting native trees, as well as preserving surrounding springs.

“The work began in October 2020, adopting regenerative practices: For the springs, ‘planting water’. For the soil, ‘organic food’. For the ecosystem, the search for rebalancing and biodiversity. A search for dreams, for perfect communion between agriculture and the forest. The reunion of original nature. So much effort, dedication and love was reciprocated in the first harvest, in 2021. Since then, advances have followed and today we are very proud of the brand we are building”, says another excerpt.

The actress involved the whole family in the project:

“It was a deactivated coffee farm. We started as leisure. But this coffee plantation could be cool to invest in. It’s a beautiful universe, both in coffee and agroforestry. After two years of agroforestry, the children having the opportunity to see everything grow, we started investing. More than 120 thousand trees were planted. It’s pesticide-free coffee. It’s beautiful. It’s our purpose in life”, said Fernanda Rodrigues in an interview with Giovanna Ewbank and Fe Paes Leme, in December last year.

The property also has horse and cattle breeding. But the objective is not just to make the place a commercial region. The actress often passes by the place with her family, whether on commemorative dates or a weekend of leisure. On social media, she has already enchanted her followers with the beautiful sunset, as well as the leisure options there, such as a lake, or tourism, taking a stroll around the property’s chapel.
