sAbina de Jesus Almeida, better known by the affectionate term ‘Menina Sabina’, marked 103 years of life on March 23. The user of Lar da Misericórdia de Lamego did not reveal the secret to her longevity, but assured that she “thanks God every day for the health” she has.
The technical management and collaborators of the Arneirós Nursing Home prepared a birthday party for the centenarian, who was accompanied by some nephews and friends she made at the institution, according to a publication published by the entity on the social network Facebook.
Even so, the elderly woman, who refused to reveal her secret, also received affection and wishes for a happy day from a distance.
“I’m very happy and I thank God every day for my health”, she said, emotionally, before the room echoed ‘Congratulations to you’.
The former dressmaker from Rua Nova, who is single, has been a user of that home since January 2019, being one of three centenarians who currently live there.
