The magazine “Quem” spoke out on Sunday night (31) about the information that would have paid the former player’s bail Daniel Alves, released last week. The news was given by the program “Fiesta”, on the Spanish broadcaster Telecinco. The Brazilian outlet classified the situation as “fake news” and claimed not to have been contacted by the European channel.

“Regarding the fake news that is being shared that Quem would have paid for the bail of the player Daniel Alves, we would like to clarify that the information is a lie and we did not pay for any report produced. We were also never approached by the program ‘Fiesta’, from Spanish TV, to confirm the facts”brought the note.

Daniel Alves paid bail of 1 million euros (R$5.4 million) and was released last Monday (25), in Spain. The former player was granted provisional release and will await appeals outside of prison. The former athlete was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for sexually assaulting a woman, in a nightclub in Barcelona, ​​at the end of 2022.
