Christiane Torloni announced this Monday (1/3) on her Instagram account that she has ended her exclusive contract with Globo. Following the broadcaster’s trend, she will start working on new projects, and may work on productions on other channels and platforms.

The 67-year-old actress shared a video of her participation in the program “The Masked Singer Brasil”, where she sang through a virtual character, to make her farewell official. “And with this very fun moment I end, with a flourish, my partnership with TV Globo, which in the 1970s was called Venus Platinada! I am proud to have lived through the Golden Era of a company that had the best of its time !”, she wrote.

Remembering memorable moments

In his farewell text, Torloni recalled his first protagonist, the title role in “Gina”, a 1978 soap opera that will soon arrive on Globoplay through Projeto Fragmentos, and listed his main characters, “so many that I’ve already lost count”.

Torloni thanked everyone who contributed to her journey at the station and who continue to support her. She reflected on the role of her art: “I learned that my Art, more than entertainment, is Consolation and Hope for many who live alone, hospitalized or in nursing homes for the elderly. My vocation is my North!”

Christiane Torloni debuted on Globo in 1975, in an episode of “Caso Especial”, entitled “Indulto de Natal”, and then participated in the humorous “Planeta dos Homens”. His debut in soap operas took place in 1976, in “Duas Vidas”. Before that, she had already participated in the children’s program “Teatrinho Troll”, on TV Tupi.

Her last work in fiction was a participation as herself in the soap opera “Vai na Fé”, last year.
