Xuxa Meneghelwho has been away from the small screen since 2020, opened up about the current phase of his career, and commented on his desire to announce his retirement soon. The 61-year-old presenter stated that she is already seen by the general public as a personality who has ended her activities.
“My life is not over”
“I don’t want them to see me as retired. Retiring the ship is not retiring. Without the pacifier, my life wouldn’t end. I have many other things to do besides what people’s emotional memory wants to see me”, she declared, in an interview with the podcast Who Can, Pod.

Xuxa, in turn, highlighted that he does not want to retire any time soon. “Stop only when God wants. I don’t want the word retirement, anyone who retires is tired of something, they can’t take it anymore, they want to live off profits. As long as I feel excited about doing new things, I don’t want to stop.”he said.
“I imagined that I would stop at 25, 26 years old, that I would get pregnant, that I was old, that I would no longer take photos. I thought I was going to get pregnant at, at most, 30. Then at 35, I thought I was going to live as a mother. At 40 I thought: ‘I’m going to stop’. At 50, I said: ‘I’m going to retire, boots, ship and all. I turned 60 and nothing”she reported.
