Despite the diagnosis, she will continue at “Gran Hermano”. Furia explained: “I have stage one leukemia. I don’t need to treat it, just take blood every month. Maybe at 40 I’ll have stage three and I’ll be screwed.”

To her colleagues, she said that the doctors assured her that she could continue in the competition. “I asked what I have to do and that’s what I do: a healthy lifestyle, I don’t smoke so much, I can’t train like I used to train, in other words, I can’t be a high-performance athlete. I just need to draw blood.”

The Gran Hermano presenter read part of Furia’s medical report live. Santiago del Moro highlighted that the report states that, at the moment, she does not “require specific treatment, but requires monthly medical monitoring that includes laboratory tests.”

Who is Furia?

The participant has a difficult life story and is named as the favorite of the edition. Furia’s mother died of cancer in 2019 and her father died a year and a half ago. The losses generated disagreements between her brothers and her, who was facing a series of economic difficulties. She says she had “nothing to eat” because she had to pay her father’s debts.
