Ivete Sangalo revealed, this Friday (26), the reason behind her leaving Banda Eva, in 1999. During the singer’s participation in the Podpah podcast, she opened up about what she was feeling at the moment she decided to give new directions for your career. Furthermore, the star talked about the conversation with the other musicians in the band, which at the time was at the height of its success.

“When you are in a band system, there comes a time when we need to balance a series of positions, beliefs and ideas that often make it impossible for everyone. Which one is the best? You believe in democracy and walk based on that idea”she explained.

“So, when you don’t want to and aren’t willing to share what is being proposed, it’s because it’s time for you to follow your path.”, he added. Ivete mentioned that he had been in the band for six years when he opted for a solo career. “It was very honorable in all aspects”she commented.

According to the singer, all the talk about the subject was done in advance and the other musicians supported the new phase. “I made myself available. It was a moment when they understood that it was my time to take new flights. I already compose and already have predilections for certain arrangements. I’m a musician too, not a professional… with practice, you learn. I had greater control over it”said.

When asked if she was afraid to take this step, the star said: “I’m afraid of a lot of things, I’m afraid of a lot of things, but those who are afraid of shitting don’t eat it. Are you going to die of hunger?”

“If you put everything down to fear, you become stagnant, you become paralyzed and I never want to be paralyzed”she reflected.

“In 1998, I started talking to them about the possibility of me leaving the band and prepared the ground. Like, I’m not going to leave here abruptly, because it’s not revenge, there’s no litigation, these are new dreams, it was time to do it and it was understood.
