This Thursday, the 28th, Arapongas City Hall officially delivered 10 new vehicles, model HB20, destined for the Municipal Health Department, a total investment of R$ 826,000.00, state and federal resources. The renewal of the fleet will help several services, including Basic Health Care. The event was attended by the mayor of Arapongas, Sérgio Onofre, the Government Secretary, Rafael Cita, the Director of Health, Sandra Onofre (who represented the Secretary of Health, Moacir Paludetto Jr), other municipal secretaries and councilors from the allied base. The 10 new vehicles will be distributed between the Integrated Center for Women’s Health (Cisam), the Department of Health, Health Surveillance, the Immunology sector, Epidemiology, Endemic Disease Control, 18-Hour Emergency Care (Cj. Flamingos, Jardim Petrópolis and Zona Sul) , Jaime de Lima Specialty Center and Municipal Health Council.
Mayor Sérgio Onofre reaffirmed his commitment to health, also praising the daily efforts of professionals. “Investing in health means promoting good care for the population, also valuing employees. We are facing a dengue epidemic, we are going through a Covid-19 pandemic and health is always the front line. Only they know the daily challenges in providing services. All our thanks and commitment to increasingly improve the health of Arapongas”, he highlighted.
Over the last seven years, Arapongas City Hall has invested in renewing the public service vehicle fleet. In addition to health, vehicles for Education (school buses), machinery for the Department of Works, Municipal Monitoring, Public Security, among others, have also been received.

Also on this occasion, Sérgio Onofre announced that Arapongas will also receive six new minibuses to strengthen patient transport. “Much still needs to be done, not just for health, but for the city as a whole. Investments that also rely on external, state and federal resources, which support the good maintenance of municipal management”, he concluded.

Representatives of the 16th Health Region and the president of the Arapongas Commercial and Business Association (ACIA), Anderson Molina, also participated.
