Arapongas remains mobilized in the fight against the Aedes Aegypti mosquito. The service task force arrived in the southern region of the city. This Thursday, the 28th, teams made up of the Municipal Department of Agriculture, Public Services and the Environment (Seasmpa), Endemic Disease Control and other collaborators; among them councilor Cecéu, they walked through several streets in the region. In the afternoon, Mayor Sérgio Onofre also followed part of the strategic actions. “There are mobilizations in the four corners of the city. Combating mosquito proliferation is urgent. However, it is important that the entire population is engaged. It is not enough for public authorities to do their part. This is everyone’s fight, that’s why we encourage the population to help us, with simple but important habits against dengue,” he highlighted.
The Secretary of the Environment, Renan Rodrigues, spoke about the development of the actions. “The activities were focused on removing possible outbreaks and breeding sites for the mosquito that causes dengue. We check strategic locations, doing all this mapping and collection,” he said. During the activities, several areas with a high incidence of garbage accumulation were inspected by the teams.
Also contributing to the strategic measures, councilor Cecéu spoke of the importance of mobilization with the community in the South Zone. “We want the largest number of people engaged. We need to take care of our neighborhood and make more people aware of this important cause,” he said.
