Arapongas City Hall, through the Municipal Department of Development, Innovation, Work and Income (Semude), held a meeting last Wednesday, 27th, with representatives of the Compra Londrina program, in the auditorium of the municipal building. The action also included a partnership with the Arapongas and Sebrae General Law Management Committee. The meeting was guided by the search for improvements in the purchasing and bidding process in public administration. On the occasion, employees from the City Hall’s Tendering and Purchasing department participated in the lecture. “A productive morning full of knowledge. Our main objective is to show transparency in the bidding process and reassure our suppliers. Ensuring agility in processes involving our city”, said Semude secretary, Paulo Grassano.
The lecture was given by the coordinator of the Compra Londrina Program, Marcelo Frazão, who presented points achieved by the program. “It is normal to encounter concerns on the part of the supplier in a process involving the public administration. With the Compra Londrina program, since 2021, we have achieved positive points, where the value of each purchase is invested in the municipality, generating employment and income opportunities”, he highlighted.
Results
Still according to the data presentation, the involvement of local companies generated satisfactory results. According to Frazão, the City Hall purchased products and services from small local companies. “The involvement of local companies, the attraction of this public to demystify fears about being a supplier to the city hall, the importance of money from municipal purchases remaining in the city, all of this generates jobs and investments from companies. In 2023 it was 105 million, 2022 it was 123 million, in 2021 it was 58 million, in 2020 it was 82 million,” he said.
Other municipal employees also participated, representatives of the Federal Institute of Paraná IFPR Campus Avançado Arapongas and the Commercial and Business Association of Arapongas (ACIA).
