Covid-19 cases registered in the private network fell by 44%, in the comparison between the week of March 10th to 16th and the week of March 17th to 23rd, going from 3,918 positive results to 2,205. The data comes from the Brazilian Association of Diagnostic Medicine (Abramed), whose members represent around 65% of the total volume of exams carried out in supplementary health in Brazil.

Since the week of February 25th to March 2nd, both the number of tests and the positivity rate have been falling. In the last six weeks, from February 11th to March 23rd, 167,453 Covid-19 tests were carried out, with the average positivity rate for the period being 20%, totaling 36,834 positives.

It is worth remembering that members send test results directly to the National Health Data Network (RNDS/DATASUS), contributing to epidemiological monitoring by the Ministry of Health.
