The 999 families living in Residencial Agreste, in Arapiraca, are benefiting from asphalt resurfacing works on all streets in the locality.

The services began this Tuesday (2), with the preparation of the roads, removal of critical points, scraping with machines for leveling and laying of the asphalt covering.

Mayor Luciano Barbosa was at Residencial Agreste, with the municipal secretary of Infrastructure, engineer Roany Izidoro, spoke with residents and closely followed the work.

The resurfacing and asphalt coverage services will extend to the community’s 45 streets, totaling around 58 thousand square meters of paving, according to engineer Kallinka Vieira.

The action is being carried out with resources from a parliamentary amendment by federal deputy Paulão. In addition to Residencial Agreste, Arapiraca City Hall also continues to carry out asphalt paving services in the Planalto, Bonsucesso and Vila Bananeiras neighborhoods, on two roads in the Novo Horizonte neighborhood and on 49 streets in the Guaribas and Verdes Campos neighborhoods.

Mayor Luciano Barbosa’s administration, to date, has already surpassed the mark of 176 kilometers of paved roads throughout the municipality. The goal is to extend services, in the coming weeks, to other locations in Arapiraca.
