The City of Juazeiro do Norte, through the Department of Education, participated this Friday, 3rd, in the ceremony in reference to the State Day of the Educational Program for Resistance to Drugs and Violence (Proerd), celebrated on May 4th. The event took place at the headquarters of the 2nd Military Police Battalion.
With the presence of students from school units where the program operates, the sergeants and instructors welcomed the classes.
The Municipal Education Network was represented by the schools Izabel da Luz, São Geraldo, Ratts Barbosa, Manoel Balbino and Vereador Fernandes Coimbra.
During the ceremony, recreational activities were carried out, such as a magic show, presentations by the cavalry and vehicles from the PM, BPRAIO, and the CIOPAER helicopter, as well as tributes to the instructors and performances by students from the Hervano Macedo Júnior Military Police College.
Márcia Franca, Secretary of Education for the municipality, highlighted that the partnership is fundamental in combating violence in schools, bullying, and contributes to the training of students with an Education focused on values.
