Last Monday, Marvel released the first trailer for one of the most anticipated films of the year, Deadpool 3, which of course brings Deadpool to the table as well as the incredible return of Wolverine to movie theaters.
So, after several “teases”, Hugh Jackman finally appeared on the screen in his yellow suit, and it was already possible to get an idea of what will happen in the film when it finally premieres in July.
However, there seem to be some secrets hidden in this trailer, and in a world where Deadpool is now part of the MCU… Well… Anything is possible!
Deadpool 3: Trailer has a Spider-Man Easter egg!
So, in addition to a Doctor Strange portal, more swearing than all the other Marvel films combined, and a few more mentions of things that have already happened in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, everything indicates that one of the fights between Deadpool and Wolverine is a homage to the first Spider-Man film in Sam Raimi’s trilogy. In other words, the choreography is very similar to the first “fight” between Peter Parker and Flash Thompson.
Something that could just be a funny joke, or proof that we will have some references to Spider-Man in the film. After all, Deadpool can now send jokes, or “bites”, to any character in the MCU. In fact, the spider may even appear in a cameo, which could drive many fans crazy.

This “Easter-egg” is especially interesting given the various reports that Sam Raimi may be in talks to direct Tom Holland’s fourth Spider-Man film. In case you didn’t know, Raimi has rejoined Marvel for the first time since Spider-Man 3 to direct Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in 2022. All that said, it goes without saying that many fans would love to see him back behind the camera for a Spider-Man movie.
