The Arapiraca Film Festival, which is already part of the city and state’s cultural calendar, opens a call for audiovisual producers from across the country for its third edition, which takes place in August. Registration can be made until June 5th and is free.

The success of the partnership between Arapiraca City Hall, through the Department of Culture, Leisure and Youth, and Festival represents the valorization of the local scene and encouragement of audiovisual production. “The partnership between City Hall and the Secretariat with the III Arapiraca Film Festival is essential for valuing local culture and strengthening the city’s identity, especially in this centenary year. The support of these institutions not only promotes cultural development, but also celebrates the history and creativity of the Arapiraquense community”, highlights the Secretary of Culture, Gleicy Kelly de Oliveira.

Productions must be up to 25 minutes long and have been produced from January 2022 onwards and can be entered into four categories: Mostra Brasil; Northeast Show; NAVI Training Cinema Exhibition and Children’s Exhibition. Check out the notice here.

The III Arapiraca Film Festival is held using the Paulo Gustavo Law, operated by the Government of Alagoas, through the State Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy, by the City Hall of Arapiraca, through the Secretariat of Culture, Leisure and Youth, and by NAVI – Núcleo do Audiovisual de Arapiraca, through AAMA – Association of Artists of Massaranduba and by Arte Camaleão, sponsored by SEBRAE Alagoas, produced by Filmes de Bananola and in partnership with the Paradiso Multiplica Project.
