During Camilla’s official visit to Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, it was not the queen who stood out most. The center of attention turned out to be an almost two-year-old child, who was dressed up to welcome the royal.
It was when the Queen stopped by Knotts Bakery, among other stores, on Thursday that she found little Fitz Corrie-Salmon.
The boy, who will turn two in a month, wore a tuxedo to impress Camilla, and he succeeded.
Fitz smiled as the queen entered the establishment, which is owned by the boy’s father, William Corrie, and Camilla interacted with the child.
Speaking to Sky News, the parents highlighted that Camilla left the boy “at ease”. A day that, they say, the family will “remember forever”.
Regarding King Charles III’s health, Camilla explained that her husband is receiving treatment for cancer and that he “was disappointed” not to be able to visit Northern Ireland.
