PSometimes, it is in simplicity that the gain lies. This is also what Nuno Markl thinks, who just wanted a scrambled egg and received a dish at home that was quite different from what he thought.
The comedian shared on Instagram a photo of a scrambled egg on bread accompanied with fruit and a layer of avocado, then expressing his dissatisfaction in the caption.
“I feel that the cuisine is too sophisticated for my basic and proudly monotonous taste,” wrote Markl, who then added: “I ordered something simple to cozy up with this flu – a scrambled egg on bread. That’s all I wanted. An egg. Scrambled. On a slice of bread. Problem: I didn’t read the small letters. Only the big ones, which said ‘scrambled egg’. And that’s what I wanted. So simple. An egg that, therefore, is scrambled.”
It was then that Markl described what he received: “What arrived was an explosion of fruit – banana, grapes, blueberries, strawberries and kale – and, crime of all crimes, the egg was separated from the bread by a thick and abundant layer of cream avocado. All I wanted? A scrambled egg.”
“Dear restoration: don’t call this ‘scrambled egg’. Just put it in the title: ‘scrambled egg with avocado cream and seasonal fruit’. Because this is not a scrambled egg. The egg is just a percentage of everything that is happening here. And be careful: I love fruit. Avocado cream, not so much. But I love the fruits here. But for dessert. I don’t want scrambled eggs with fruit”, said Markl.
