The mother of the famous singer Daniel Amorim Nicola, better known as MC Daniel or “funk hawk”, was spending a few days in Portugal. Daniela Amorim describes the country as “wonderful” with “friendly, welcoming people”but you will also have come across a “unforeseen”.
On social media, the musician shared a video of his mother in a restaurant that is generating outrage: “I felt sorry for her. How lucky I wasn’t. My mother was visibly uncomfortable, not knowing that she couldn’t call a man a boy in Portugal“wrote MC Daniel, adding that the man in question wanted to pretend “macho” and left his mother “uncomfortable”.
In the video you can see that, when the waiter approached, Daniela Amorim called him “young man”, an expression commonly used in Brazil. Another man didn’t like it and immediately responded: “There are no boys here”.
The restaurant in question did not comment at the time of publication. However, there are several negative comments on the space’s page.
