Felgueiras Magazine conducted a survey yesterday, Monday, via the social network Instagram, asking its followers about a possible postponement of the “A Chave” initiative, scheduled for this Friday, due to possible adverse weather conditions.
The survey, which involved the participation of 1,106 followers, revealed that the vast majority of respondents believe that the drum parade, which marks the official opening of the Festas de S. Pedro, should be postponed in case of rain.
The starting question for the survey was “The S. Pedro bass drum parade is on Friday. However, rain is forecast. Do you think the event should be postponed?“. Of all the responses collected, 76% of participants think that “The Key” should be postponed (“yes”), while 24% think it should not (“no”).
However, Felgueiras City Council released today, Tuesday, the May Fair program, warning that it may be subject to adjustments: “The schedule presented may change depending on weather conditions. We will communicate any changes in due course.”, reads the publication made by the Municipality on social media. Remember that “A Chave” is part of the May Fair program.
For the night of Friday, the 3rd, the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere predicts rain/light showers, and a probability of precipitation, equal to or greater than 0.3 mm, of 47%.
