Princess Beatrice’s ex-boyfriend found dead

Paolo Liuzzoex-boyfriend of the princess Beatrice, was found dead in a room at the citizenM aMiami World Center hotel, in Miami, United States. Although authorities are still investigating what happened, it is suspected that he died of an overdose. It is known that Liuzzo, 41, struggled with drug addiction, had large gambling debts, and had committed several crimes in the past.

In 2002, even before meeting the princess, he had been accused of the involuntary murder of a colleague at the College of Santa Cruz in Massachusetts. He ended up doing 100 hours of community service for assault following the death of Jonathan R. Duchatellier, aged 19, after a fight with other colleagues, including Liuzzo.

When he started dating Beatrice in July 2005, Paolo, then 24 years old, was considered a member of high society in the United States. They tried to keep their relationship discreet for almost a year, until they separated in May 2006, when the accusation of involuntary manslaughter became known.
