Pinda starts flu vaccination on Tuesday

The Pindamonhangaba Health Department begins the vaccination campaign against influenza (Trivalent Influenza) on Tuesday (26). This year vaccination will begin with all priority groups.
They are: elderly people (60 years or more), health workers, education workers, children aged 6 months to under 6 years (5 years, 11 months and 29 days), pregnant women, women who have recently given birth, traditional quilombola peoples and communities, indigenous people, teachers, people with comorbidities, people with disabilities, truck drivers, public transport workers, urban and long-distance passengers, port workers, security and rescue forces, armed forces, prison system employees, population deprived of liberty and adolescents and young people in socio-educational measures.
“This year vaccination is a little different, starting with application to all priority groups. Pinda is following the rules of the Ministry of Health and the State Department of Health. It is very important that the population gets vaccinated against the flu and still seeks the immunization against Covid-19, as it is a virus still in circulation and the number of cases has increased in recent months”, said the Secretary of Health, Silvia Mendes.
To be vaccinated against the flu, a person must carry a CPF vaccination card (or SUS card). Anyone belonging to the professional categories must present proof of employment. People with comorbidities need to bring a medical document (report and/or medication prescription, for example).
