Ministry of Health did not explain why the number of daily records fell from 55,000 to 2,100 in 1 day

Brazil registered 2,100 new probable cases of dengue in the last 24 hours. Altogether, they are 2,323,150 infectionsaccording to data from this Wednesday (27th March 2024) from the Ministry of Health. The number is well below of what had been recorded in recent days. On the 2nd (25th March), there were 220,658 new cases in 24 hours, already on the 3rd (26th March), 55,115 probable cases.

Furthermore, the number of deaths decreased by 1 from Tuesday (26th March) to Wednesday (27th March). Although the laboratory test takes time to be ready and this constantly changes the data, as already explained by the Ministry, the panel records the deaths that are being investigated to avoid false comparisons.

Following the numbers presented by the Arbovirus Monitoring Panel, only 6 States registered new probable cases on March 27. Read what they are and how many cases:

  • Federal District – 1 new probable case
  • Minas Gerais – 4 new probable cases
  • Holy Spirit – 2,091 new probable cases
  • Santa Catarina – 1 new probable case
  • Bahia – 2 new probable cases
  • Piauí – 1 new probable case

O Power360 questioned the Ministry of Health about the drop in the number of registrations, but received no response until the publication of this report. The space remains open for demonstrations.

According to available data, Minas Gerais is the state with the highest number of cases, with 765,164 records. It is equivalent to 32.94% of total infections in the country. The Federal District leads in deaths. There were 188 this year alone.

The Ministry of Health publishes daily the latest data on probable cases, deaths under investigation and confirmed, and the dengue incidence coefficient in the Arbovirus Monitoring Panel.
