What is the average penis size?
The expert points out that the average size of a penis is approximately 9 cm when flaccid or soft and approximately 13 cm when erect. A micropenis is defined as a penis that measures less than 7 cm.

2) Can you ‘break’ the penis?
Yes, it is possible, according to the doctor. During an erection, there are spongy tissues called corpora cavernosa, which fill with blood to make the penis erect.

If there is trauma, often a violent twisting or bending movement when the penis is erect, part of the covering of the corpus cavernosum called the tunica abulginea can burst, causing bleeding in the penis and very painful swelling.

She explains that this type of accident is rare, but tends to occur during sexual intercourse when the partner is on top.

3) Can the penis point in any direction?
Yes. When the penis is erect, it can point in any direction, from straight up, forward, to straight down, as found in a study involving nearly 1,500 men. Kaye clarifies that it is normal for there to be a curve in any direction.

Hypertension;

Peripheral vascular disease;

Low testosterone levels;

Aging;

Significant curve (due to Peyronie’s disease).

She also points out some types of treatment for prostate cancer, such as radical prostatectomy, capable of affecting the length of the organ. The reverse is also true, it is possible to increase the size.

“The only proven way to increase penis size is through surgery, which can increase length and girth”, points out the doctor.

5) Are multiple erections at night normal?
They are completely normal, according to Kaye. It is very common to associate multiple erections with teenagers, however, the average healthy man has three to five erections per night. They occur during REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, but the cause is not known. The duration of each nocturnal erection can be 25 to 30 minutes, totaling around two hours of erections.
