In total, 35 municipalities in Mato Grosso will receive the vaccine and the state should receive 131,479 doses. The choice of municipalities took into account the disease monitoring panel, which points out the places with the highest number of cases of the disease.
Cuiabá and Várzea Grande will receive more than 65 thousand doses. The municipalities of Sinop, Sorriso and Lucas do Rio Verde are also on the list of municipalities that will receive the vaccines, adding up to 26 thousand doses made available to the region.
According to the superintendent of Health Surveillance at the State and Health Secretariat (SES), Alessandra Moraes, The public included in this first phase of vaccination is children between 10 and 14 years old.
In 2024, data from SES indicate that Mato Grosso recorded 15,251 confirmed cases of dengue. There were also 98 cases of Zika and 4,644 of Chikungunya recorded in the state.
