Government campaigns against influenza and promotes multivaccination to expand vaccination coverage

In order to increase vaccination coverage indicators in Maranhão, the State Department of Health (SES) is carrying out the influenza vaccination campaign this Saturday (27) and Sunday (29) and promotes multi-vaccination. The actions are taking place at Rio Anil Shopping and Policlínicas Cidade Operária and Vinhais.

“The strategy aims to achieve the levels of vaccination coverage established by the Ministry of Health, with the offer of doses for the entire family”, explained the superintendent of Epidemiology and Disease Control at SES, Dalila de Nazaré Vasconcelos dos Santos.

In addition to the dose against influenza, the action promoted by SES expanded vaccination against the diseases Hepatitis B, MMR, Oral Poliomyelitis, HPV; dT, Yellow Fever; Hepatitis A; Pentavalent; DTP; Poliomyelitis (VIP); Human Rotavirus; Pneumococcal; Meningococcal C; Meningococcal ACWY and Chickenpox; and Covid-19.

“We have this strategy of providing a different schedule so that the whole family has access to the vaccines on the vaccination calendar and can be protected”, highlighted the head of the Department of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases at SES, Halice Figueiredo.

Security guard at Shopping Rio Anil, Gunnah Vingren, 37 years old, lives in São Raimundo and took the opportunity to update his vaccination record. “I arrived to work and found out about this action. I can’t miss the opportunity,” said the security guard.

Delegate Ana Valéria Ramos da Silva, 35 years old, lives in Turu and approved the vaccination initiative over the weekend. “I found out about the action through social media and I took the opportunity to come because I work during the week and this different schedule is excellent”, said Ana Valéria.

This Saturday (27), vaccination work was carried out until 12 pm at the Cidade Operária and Vinhais Polyclinics. At Rio Anil Shopping, the action on Saturday will take place until 8pm, while on Sunday (28), from 2pm to 8pm.
