ANDThere are multiple factors capable of increasing cortisol and stress levels. Fortunately, “high cortisol levels are usually benign, meaning they don’t have a serious or long-term impact on your health,” explains Natasha Fernando, a doctor, quoted in Woman & Home.
Even so, the expert advises that you know how to recognize the signs that your levels are too high and, if you feel them, you can always reduce them with simple lifestyle changes.

Signs that your cortisol levels are too high:
- Mood changes;
- You are gaining weight and more hungry (and cravings) than usual;
- Skin problems such as acne and, in some cases, eczema and psoriasis;
- Sleep disturbances;
- Difficulties in concentrating;
- Your hair is getting weak and thin;
- Digestive problems.
