The 13th Great Portuguese Wine Show returns to Albufeira on the 12th, 13th and 14th of April.
The presentation was made yesterday, February 29th, at Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL), by Carlos Oliveira, chancellor of the Confraria, José Carlos Rolo, president of the Chamber of Albufeira, Desidério Silva, president of APAL – Albufeira Promotion Agency and Pedro Rego, of the Federation of Wine Confraternities.
Also present were several confreres, representatives of partner entities, businesspeople, the media and the public.
The event, organized by the Confraria do Bacchus de Albufeira, in partnership with the Municipality of Albufeira, reaches its 13th edition, maintaining the objective of «promoting some of the best national nectars, creating a unique opportunity to, in the same space, taste the increasingly appreciated flavors of our wines».
This year, the novelty is the anticipation of the date to April. The event takes place between 3pm and 8pm, on the 12th, and between 3pm and 9pm, on the 13th and 14th.
Gastronomy will also be highlighted with the tasting of some traditional products in the EMA – Albufeira Multipurpose Space, and the space chosen for this journey that is expected to bring thousands of wine lovers to Albufeira.
According to the organization, andThe presence of some of the biggest national brands is guaranteed, as well as small productions that are not available in the usual sales channels.
«One of the secrets to the success of this exhibition is to provide visitors with the possibility of tasting and purchasing new brands and references», the note reads.
Entrance to the Grande Mostra de Vinhos de Portugal is free, but, to take part in the tastings, it is necessary to purchase the event’s official glass.
The Confraria simultaneously organizes the ninth edition of the Wine Competition, which will reward the best nectars represented there.
