digital project “Discover Douro”, which proposes a journey through the municipalities that make up this region, including a large part of the north of the district of Viseu.

The platform includes a portal and an app to guide tourists in discovering the various municipalities of the Douro.

“From now on you will be able to take the Douro with you anywhere. You will be able to search for events, news and much more, with frequently updated information about the territory. You will be able to discover appealing offers and content, regardless of the time of year”, states CIM Douro.

Through these digital tools, visitors can access information about what to visit, where to eat, where to have fun or where to sleep. The intermunicipal community guarantees that the platform and application “are easy to use and interpret” and that the objective is for this “to be the largest portal in the Douro” and to contribute to the promotion of the region.

This digital project joins the Douro Passport, launched by CIM in the summer of 2021, an initiative that aimed to boost regional tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic.

CIM Douro includes the municipalities of Alijó, Armamar, Carrazeda de Ansiães, Freixo de Espada à Cinta, Lamego, Mesão Frio, Moimenta da Beira, Murça, Penedono, Peso da Régua, Sabrosa, Santa Marta de Penaguião, São João da Pesqueira , Sernancelhe, Tabuaço, Tarouca, Torre de Moncorvo, Vila Nova de Foz Côa and Vila Real.
