The Left Bloc defended the “need to guarantee the expansion works of the Aveiro hospital and the creation of a medicine course at the University of Aveiro”. Commitment left by the blockade candidates for the district of Aveiro to the legislative elections during a meeting held with the administration of the Local Health Unit (ULS) of the Aveiro Region.

“After the last years of absolute majority of the Socialist Party”, the BE says that “it is necessary to move towards a reconstruction of the National Health Service”, with “a new model of autonomy, a new impulse for hiring and investment and an increase in access to healthcare, particularly those that the majority of citizens continue to lack, such as dentistry or psychology.”

The blockers take the opportunity to criticize “the total absence of PS measures” in health, namely to resolve the lack of professionals in the SNS.

Among its proposals, BE defends “the repeal of the ULS and investment in hospitals in Aveiro, Águeda, Estarreja, Ovar, Oliveira de Azeméis, São João da Madeira and Espinho, whether in hiring more professionals or in investing in health equipment. diagnosis and therapy, whether in expanding the capabilities and services provided to the population”.
