A study coordinated by Lara Guedes de Pinho, professor at the Department of Nursing and Researcher at the Comprehensive Health Research Center (CHRC), at the University of Évora, concluded that around one in three higher education students reported, in the academic year 2022/2023, , having already suffered from sexual harassment and around half from moral harassment. The survey launched among students this academic year has already been carried out and the conclusions should be released by the end of the month. In an interview with PÚBLICO, Lara Guedes de Pinho says that the number of students reporting having been the target of sexual harassment is in line with last year, standing at 33.6%, in a universe of more than a thousand participants from seven Portuguese higher education institutions, including islands.
