For four days, the National Conservatory’s Artistic School of Music opens its doors to a new edition of Open Days. Between March 20th and 23rd, you can count on workshops, concerts, open classes and an arts and crafts market.

The program starts next Wednesday, the 20th. There is a singing masterclass, between 10.00 and 17.00, and a clarinet masterclass, between 10.00 and 16.00. At 1pm, lunch time is punctuated by jazz music. Between 4pm and 5pm, the book will be presented Notes for budding clarinetists by Fernando Silveira. Throughout the afternoon, you can attend various recitals.

The following day, on March 21st, the saxophone masterclass takes place at two times, between 10.00 and 13.00 and between 15.00 and 19.00. From 11 am, Carla Santana, creator of soundscapes, leads the workshop The dream of symmetrical people. The lecture Who was Franz Shreker? is given by professor Tânia Valente, from 12.30 to 13.30. Between 2.30pm and 6.30pm, the jazz, early music, winds and strings departments perform various recitals.

On Friday, the 22nd, the Feira do Futuro focuses on higher education in the area of ​​music and has the presence of universities, such as Nova FCSH, Lusófona and Lusíada. It can be visited between 10.00 and 17.00. At 1:30 pm, Rafael Campos leads the workshop The Portuguese guitar and contemporary musical creation. Before, at 12.00, the performing arts studio hosts a show. From 2pm onwards, it is interpreted Chansons d’Amour by Gabriel Fauré. Between 3pm and 4pm, the opera studio gives an open class.

On Saturday, March 23, from 10 am to 5 pm, you can participate in open instrument classes, where children and young people between the ages of five and 15 pay free. Registration for open classes can be made on the website. On this day, students from the Seixal, Amadora and Loures centers of the National Conservatory’s Artistic School of Music play in concert.

From Wednesday to Saturday, you can count on the arts and crafts market, a mathematical games program and an exhibition around the 25th of April. Taking place these days, there is also a toy collection campaign for the Apoiar association.
