Four goals from Lucas Martinez and one from Diogo Abreu guaranteed the victory for the unionists

The Sporting fans, who were coming off a 4-1 victory at home against Barcelona for the ‘Champions’, had no reaction to the speed imposed in the game by the hosts nor to stop the deadly shots from Lucas Martinez and Diogo Abreu. The Argentine signed a poker in a game that was also won on defense. In goal, Xano Edo was, once again, at a great level with defenses that seemed from another world.

Edo Bosch’s team, which was coming off a trip to Italy and a grueling game at the Trissino track, surprised Sporting with a goal after just 25 seconds from Lucas Martinez. Shortly afterwards, in two consecutive plays, Lucas Martinez and Nuno Santos sent the balls into the woodwork of Girão’s goal and it was already 6:30 into the break that Sporting reached the equalizer with a shot from João Souto, who appeared free of marking in the area to shoot first. But this was Lucas Martinez’s night and the Argentine gave Oliveirense the lead again, even before the break, with a strong shot.

In the second half, and when another reaction was expected from the outsiders, it was Oliveirense who increased the advantage and continued to impose their hockey. Diogo Abreu surprised with a clear shot and, on the other side, Xano Edo denied Rafael Bessa the goal with a penalty. With a direct free kick, Lucas Martinez made it 4-1 and two minutes from the end the Argentine signed a poker and closed the account of a game with an excellent human frame.
