Just started the 2nd Edition of the ISCE Tourism PAP Challenge powered by merytuan initiative created by the Department of Tourism of ISCE – Instituto Superior de Lisboa e Vale do Tejo, whose mission is to value national professional education in the area of Tourism and encourage students to enter higher education.
To the Registration is open until June and the initiative aims to challenge students and schools, from professional courses in tourism, to present their best Professional Aptitude Tests (PAP), with the aim of receiving a scholarship, in the Degree in Tourism Management course at ISCE.
The initiative aims to contribute to the development of training in the sector and future professionals, rewarding the best projects presented and encouraging their practical application within the business community.
It has the support of merytu which led to the creation of the competition in 2023, thanks to the company’s ability to align its technology with the lack of labor in the sector. merytu’s innovation makes it possible to detect a matching dynamic of professional profiles, between employees and companies, adapted to current market needs, namely; flexible work management, service personalization, data analysis for strategic decision making and process automation.
After an initial screening, the finalists will be chosen, and at the end of the competition they will be presented to a jury made up of teachers, students, representatives of schools, institutions and partner companies. The winner will be awarded a scholarship for the Degree in Tourism Management at ISCE and also awarded several awards in other categories (Best Pitch Award; Social Responsibility and Sustainability Award; Creativity Award; Innovation and Digitalization Award; Best Advisor Award and also the ‘Best School’ Award for the school with the winning project).
After the success of the first edition, this year’s edition is marked by a new feature allowing PAPs can be presented in groupsmaking it possible for several students to win the prize.
