Coach Roberto Martínez announced the Portuguese team’s squad for the friendly against Sweden, next Thursday. Among the players spared is Cristiano Ronaldo. The Al-Nassr star was called up for the FIFA date, but should only take the field in the second game of the period, against Slovenia, on March 26th.

Spared from Portugal’s first friendly, Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t even focus on the team and took advantage of the break. The number 7 traveled with his wife to the coast of Saudi Arabia and published an image of the trip on Instagram.
In addition to Cristiano Ronaldo, seven other players called up for Portugal will be rested for the first FIFA friendly match on that date. They are: Diogo Dalot, João Cancelo, Danilo Pereira, Otávio, Rúben Neves, Vitinha and João Félix.
