The local action group of the URBACT network “Cities After Dark” met yesterday, at the Human Power Hub, in Braga, to outline strategies aimed at promoting and enhancing activities related to nightlife in the city. This meeting was marked by the identification of the challenges faced by local agents, including issues related to policing, garbage collection times or the provision of public transport at night.

At this meeting, the intention was expressed to “implement a new form of xity governance, establishing effective collaboration between the public and private sector, aiming for more integrated and sustainable development”.

“This meeting represents a significant step in cooperation between the various agents and the Municipality, in order to develop joint work to create a vibrant and safe nightlife, thus enriching the urban experience for inhabitants and visitors”, says the City Council.

Under the motto “Night Economy for Sustainable Growth”, this European project, led by Braga, involves ten European cities. In addition to Braga, the cities of Paris (France), Tallinn (Estonia), Varna (Bulgaria), Genoa (Italy), Málaga (Spain), Nicosia (Cyprus), Piraeus (Greece), Zadar (Croatia) are part of this network. and Budva (Montenegro).
