Vale de Cavalos hosts the 2nd Edition of the Ribatejana Soup Festival this weekend

The 2nd edition of the Festival das Sopas Ribatejanas begins today in Vale de Cavalos, in the municipality of Chamusca, in an initiative in which 12 varieties of soups typical of the region will be served, the municipality announced.

At the festival, which will run until Sunday and is a joint organization between the Municipal Council of Chamusca, in the district of Santarém, and the Parish Council of Vale de Cavalos, there will also be music, crafts and folklore.

Among the invited artists, today the band “Los Chupitos” will perform, on Saturday the popular and traditional Portuguese music group “Siga a Farra” and, on Sunday, the band “Los Invictus & Amigos”.

During the festival, which will count on the collaboration of associations, communities and companies in the village, there will also be several ‘showcookings’ organized by parishes in the municipality and by the Universidade Sénior de Vale de Cavalos, namely by ‘chef’ José Maria Lino who on Saturday, At 12:30, you will prepare river fish soup and roe.
