Among the seven tons of products seized are yogurts, cheeses, cold cuts, frozen foods, without controlled temperatures.
An operation conducted by the Food and Economic Security Authority (ASAE), through the Specialized Brigade for Animal Products Industries of the Center Regional Unit, led to the seizure of 7,370 kg of food.
Among the seized products are yogurts, cheeses, cold cuts, frozen foods, without controlled temperatures. The inspection operation took place in two wholesale food preparation and storage establishments, in the districts of Aveiro and Viseu, whose activity was being carried out “without the respective mandatory Veterinary Control Number (NCV) authorization”, explains ASAE .
Several foodstuffs were also found without “the respective mandatory labeling and without having the position of the identification mark of the last establishment that handled them”.
As a result of this seizure, 2 administrative offense proceedings were initiated, and the establishment located in the district of Aveiro was suspended from activity “for not having the NCV legally required for activity”.
The total value of the seizure “amounted to 61,500.00 Euros”, reveals ASAE.
