The PSD and Chega reached an agreement to make the proposed names for the Board of the Assembly of the Republic viable, André Ventura revealed this Monday.

“The PSD informed Chega this afternoon that it will facilitate the appointment of the various Chega leaders to the positions of vice-president of the Assembly of the Republic, secretary of the Assembly of the Republic and vice-secretary of the Assembly of the Republic”, stated the leader of He arrives in statements to journalists in Parliament.

André Ventura did not announce the names proposed for these positions, but assured that he will reveal by the end of the dayafter meeting with his parliamentary group.

In contrast, “Chega will make viable the proposal that AD presented for the presidency of Parliament”, the former Minister of Defense José Pedro Aguiar-Branco and also the name proposed by IL for vice-president, deputy Rodrigo Saraiva.

“This is an important moment because we have the ability to definitively remove the socialists and the extreme left from the decisive seats in this Parliament”, highlights Ventura. “We guarantee an absolute majority that will not only be able to elect the President of the Assembly of the Republic, the vice-presidents of the Assembly of the Republic.”

Tânger Correa will be head of the Chega list for the Europeans

The vice-president of Chega António Tânger Correa will be the head of the party’s list for the European elections on June 9th, André Ventura also announced.

Chega goes to the European elections “to win”says Ventura, considering that the candidate has “the necessary political experience and knowledge of the international world”.
