The municipality and engineers yesterday assumed the need to resolve problems related to toponymy and police numbering – the numbers that identify street access to urban buildings or public places.
At the conference “Police Toponymy and Numbering”, organized by the Chamber, University and Order of Engineers, the president of the chamber, José Manuel Silva, stressed that this is a problem that directly affects the municipality.
“We felt the problem in the chamber. Whenever a citizen has a problem with toponymy and police numbering, we are to blame,” she recalled.
From this perspective, he reiterated the importance of the conference. “This is a welcome initiative, as we have to seek to resolve the problems that so affect our citizens,” he said.
The mayor highlighted the difficulty that the population has when trying to solve problems of this type.
“It’s an ordeal when a person wants, for example, to change their house number”, he clarified.
